Sol came to our shelter after suffering a urinary blockage in her original home. Her owners sought medical care immediately, but they were not able to commit to her special needs for life. We took Sol to our vet right away. After a few diagnostic tests were inconclusive, we were FINALLY able to get to the bottom of her issue when our veterinarian was able to remove a couple of stones! The stones were blocking her uretha, making Sol unable to urinate. Our vet saved her life with little time to spare. Thankfully, Sol recovered quickly and was back to her sassy self in no time. To keep her at her healthiest, she should remain on a wet food only diet (little to no dry) to assist in preventing any future episodes. A low stress home is ideal for her as stress is often what sets off episodes of FLUTD. Sol would thrive as a solo cat. Sol is about 2 years old. She is spayed , vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, feline leukemia/FIV negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. Interested in meeting Sol?
