About Walnut Gooseberry
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Walnut Gooseberry's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Walnut Gooseberry, a 3-month-old Catahoula / Boxer mix, weighing 29.4 pounds (as of 3/18/26). The Gooseberry Girls were found as strays in Mississippi and even worse, they can't spell "Mississippi!" But they can spell "love" which is what they hope to give to their future family in New England!. Walnut's a spirited pup who loves to play duck, duck, goose and you'll most likely be the goose every time! Her energy is as infectious as her loving heart. She can't wait to charm everyone in your family and even the extended family that you don't talk to anymore. If there's anyone who can build bridges between families, it's Walnut. No one can say "no" to that adorable face! The Gooseberry Girls tend to be a little mouthy during play, but they hope to overcome that habit with your support. They're just so excited to be with you! They're great with kids, dogs and have even lived with cats! Since they're still young, extra care and patience is necessary when it comes to potty training, leashing, and commands. They do have experience with crates, so that's one less thing to worry about! They can't wait to add some fruity goodness to your home! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
