About Blue Bell Gooseberry
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Blue Bell Gooseberry's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Blue Bell Gooseberry, a 3-month-old Catahoula / Boxer mix, weighing 20.6 pounds (as of 3/18/26). The Gooseberry Gals were found as strays in Mississippi and even worse, they can't spell "Mississippi!" But they can spell "love" which is what they hope to give to their future family in New England!. Blue Bell is the type of gal who'll sit by your side as you tell a long-winded story about the good ole days of your youth. This girl loves to be around her people and doesn't even mind that you talk you so much. In fact, she's probably the only one who enjoys listening to you! Isn't that sweet? When she's not cuddling next to her people, Blue Bell lives for adventure and trying new things. Hopefully you're ready to explore the outdoors with her and make new memories so you can stop reminiscing about the past. The Gooseberry Gals tend to be a little mouthy during play, but they hope to overcome that habit with your support. They're just so excited to be with you! They're great with kids, dogs and have even lived with cats! Since they're still young, extra care and patience is necessary when it comes to potty training, leashing, and commands. They do have experience with crates, so that's one less thing to worry about! They can't wait to add some fruity goodness to your home! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
