I’m a gentle, soft-hearted guy who’s currently hanging out in boarding while I wait for my foster or forever family to find me. I may be a little shy when we first meet, but once I realize you’re kind and patient, you’ll see what a sweet companion I can be. The nice clinic folks say I’m a friendly boy, even if I don’t always demand attention. I’m more of a quiet observer at first — the type who likes to take things in, wag my tail politely, and warm up at my own pace. A few encouraging words and maybe a tasty treat really help me feel brave. I’m pretty food-motivated, so snacks and praise are definitely the way to my heart! I’m also a well-mannered gentleman. I keep my kennel nice and clean, which is my way of saying I’m likely house-trained. I walk well on a leash and am still learning more every day. Cars and traffic don’t bother me, though loud noises can make me a little shy. I just appreciate a calm voice reminding me everything is okay. No one has heard me bark yet — I guess you could say I’m a quiet soul. I eat all my meals like a champ, take medicine easily if I need it, and I’m perfectly happy being gently petted. Because I’m still getting used to new situations, some things about me are still a bit of a mystery — like how I feel about other dogs or cats. But with a patient family and a loving home, I think I’ll blossom beautifully. What I really need now is a soft place to land — a foster or forever home where I can feel safe, build confidence, and show you just how special I am.
