About Raider Regan
Raider Regan lost his lifelong home and person at nine years old, after his owner passed away. That kind of disruption would rattle anyone, so Raider’s early fearful behavior makes sense. Fortunately, thanks to a patient foster, he got a soft landing—a two-week Frosted Fling—to decompress and start to trust again. Those two weeks made a difference: Raider proved himself sensitive and smart, slow to trust at first but warm and loyal once he feels safe. With strangers, he keeps his distance, needing time before he’ll accept a gentle hand. By the end of his foster stay, though, Raider blossomed into a genuinely friendly companion. He’s fully house-trained with not a single accident, loves car rides and curling up quietly in his crate at bedtime, and has a soft spot for squeaky toys. Raider lives harmoniously with cats and small, friendly dogs (he really gets a kick out of them). He’s also good for grooming and takes treats gently. Raider doesn’t do well with larger dogs but had some success warming up to a medium-sized one as he let his guard down. His future family will need to take things slowly and let him build trust at his pace—a patient, loving home is key. In return, Raider will be an easygoing, devoted friend. He needs someone willing to help him rediscover how good life can be. Start your journey together! Apply now.
