Luann is a beautiful tabby with the most striking olive-green eyes and unique white marking on her face. They give her a one-of-a-kind look that is soft, thoughtful and quietly expressive. Luann joined us at the start of January after being transferred into our care from an overcrowded shelter. While we don't know how she ended up in a shelter, we do know that she has been patiently waiting for her fresh start. She has recently become available for adoption after completing her spay surgery and she is vaccinated and microchipped, so she's ready for the next chapter of her life. The shelter environment can be overwhelming and sweet Luann is still finding her footing. Change and the unknown can be scary and she's coping the best way she knows how which includes burrowing herself into her cozy blanket where she feels safe. It's her little sanctuary within the busy world around her. Because of her gentle and slightly unsure nature, Luann would likely flourish in a calm, zen-like home with a quiet adopter who has a peaceful energy. Given time, patience and understanding, we believe she will blossom into a deeply devoted and loving companion. There is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a shy cat. It creates a bond like no other. Her name, Luann, is of English origin and it carries meanings such as "graceful warrior" or "renowned and graceful." It's a beautiful fit for this sweet girl, who may be quietly brave as she navigates new beginnings. She's ready to leave the uncertainty behind and discover what it feels like to truly belong. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
