Luke is a 4 year castrated pit bull who presented to shelter with rectal prolapse, chronic uncontrolled skin allergies with secondary infection, and underweight with diarrhea. Diarrhea and weight loss may be related to a chronic gut disease (e.g. food allergy or IBD or other) or unrelated to one another. In need of urgent rescue to a rescue financially able to rehabilitate and maintain a severely skin allergic dog. Patient may need dermatology consult or internal medicine consult in the future. Shelter has replaced rectum with purse string suture on 3/13 and started pt on hypoallergenic diet, steroids, antibiotics for skin. Skin culture pending.
