About Pippi

Pippi is a 2-year-old black Lab mix who's finding her footing after a rough start in life. At 44 pounds, she’s got a compact, athletic build and a short, sleek coat. She’s spayed, house trained, and her vaccinations are current. Before joining Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue, Pippi went without much human contact, so she's figuring out how to trust people. She’s cautious with anything unfamiliar, but you’ll catch glimpses of her playful side—every so often she’ll tear around with the sudden joy that comes from discovering freedom and safety. Pippi is an easy dog to walk on leash and, while she's an adult, she's still piecing together the basics, slowly but steadily. She gets along with other dogs and is good with children, making her a flexible fit for many families. What she needs most is patience and calm encouragement as she keeps learning what it means to be part of a loving home. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
