One year of Ellie! One year of a million nicknames — Ellie Belly, Ellie the Elephant, Ellie Girl, Girl Dog, and our all-time favorite… Baby Gazelle. And yes… one whole year of Ellie still waiting for her forever home. Naturally, you’re probably wondering, “HOW is this dog not adopted yet?” Same. We ask ourselves that daily. Because let’s be honest — Ellie is basically a walking green flag. She’s great with dogs, cats, and humans of all shapes and sizes. Ellie is so friendly she’d probably wave at a squirrel and ask if it wants to be besties. Ellie loves to run, so she’d thrive with a decent-sized yard or an active human who enjoys movement (or at least throwing a ball). She absolutely shines with other dogs and is happiest when she’s part of a pack. At her foster home, she runs off-leash with the group during lunchtime ball time — living her best main-character life. She has excellent recall, knows basic commands (with a little room for polishing), and is always ready for the next adventure. She’ll happily go on a run around the neighborhood… then come inside, chug roughly 17 gallons of water, and immediately transform into a calm, well-behaved house dog. Now let’s talk about that Baby Gazelle nickname. Ellie leaps over the tiniest stick like it’s a fallen tree in the Amazon. Graceful. Majestic. Slightly dramatic. She’s got a smile that can light up a room, ears that can cure a bad day, and just enough chaos to keep life interesting. Basically, Ellie is fun.
