About Bailey Spirits Local
**Please read Bailey Spirits' entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Bailey Spirits, a 12-week-old (as of 3/8) Carolina Dog/Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing 14 pounds (as of 1/30/26)! Bailey is aptly named because he hails from our SPIRITS litter and was born in Tennessee to nice, mellow medium-to-large breed dogs. While the owner is keeping Momma, Bailey hopes to find a family that could use a little more sweetness in their cocktails, er, he means home! UPDATE: Bailey Spirits is the cutest shy guy! His dream family would be patient and calm and willing to meet him on his level and earn his trust. Believe me, it will be worth it! His soft snuggles are the sweetest but he’ll need a little warm up time before offering them up. He does well with other dogs and would love a doggie sibling to build confidence and learn the ropes from. He’d do well with children old enough to understand he gets nervous and needs to take it slow to feel safe. He is not a fan of the cold snowy outside or leash walking yet but he’s very good about using pee pads consistently otherwise. We are making daily strides on getting adjusted to New England weather. It’s a work in progress. Bailey is excellent about sleeping in his crate at night and enjoys napping in it. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he’ll let loose a bit and play with his toys. He can be very silly and fun! Whoever takes the time to work with Bailey on learning the world’s not so bad is going to be rewarded with so much love and loyalty. When it comes to sweet, smooth and extra spirited, Bailey is the perfect ingredient to any home in need of something to take the edge off! When he's not making friends with strangers, kids, or other dogs, Bailey will curl up beside you as sip spiked hot chocolate and watch the latest Netflix documentary. Doesn't that sound lovely? Bailey thinks so. As Bailey searches for the perfect fur-ever home, he just asks that you have patience as he adjusts to puppy training, crates, and commands (he's still a puppy after all!) But you'll be so happy to see his progress, you'll be celebrating with the neighbor you hate because Bailey's sweet nature brought you two together. What's not to love about this boy? Nothing! Bring Bailey home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
