About Rocky
Meet Rocky (aka Rocket!) Rocky is a 10 1/2 month old, 55lb, male Merle Labradoodle mix and is being rehomed through no fault of his own. His family loves him deeply, but an unexpected change in their living situation involving an older family member means they can no longer give him the time and structure he needs. They are heartbroken, and their only goal is to find Rocket the active, loving home he deserves. A Smart, Loving, HighEnergy Puppy Rocky is a young, enthusiastic pup who thrives with structure and activity. He's housebroken, cratetrained, and sleeps through the night without a sound. When bedtime comes, he trots right into his crate on his own. During the day, he relaxes comfortably in a large indoor pen with his food, water, blankets, and toys if his family needs to step out. Professionally Trained & Eager to Learn Rocky completed three weeks of professional boardandtrain at Double H Canine. He knows his basic commands and is eager to please. He has a designated cot that serves as his “place.” He's incredibly smart and responds beautifully to consistency. Social, Playful... and a Bit of a Goofball Rocky loves other dogs, but he plays with the enthusiasm of a puppy who hasn't learned his own strength yet. His play style is rough-and-tumble—lots of zoomies, bodyslams, and playful nibbles on ears and tails. Because of this, he's not a match for shy, introverted, or lowenergy dogs, but he would thrive with a confident, equally energetic playmate. Needs Supervision Indoors Like many young dogs, Rocket is still learning what's appropriate to chew. He has a mountain of toys and bones, but he'll happily steal socks, underwear, or nibble on baseboards if left unsupervised. With structure, redirection, and continued training, he's making steady progress. Gentle, Loving, and Not Reactive Rocky is: - Not food or toy aggressive - Not stormphobic - Great with strangers and other animals - Not a barker - Leashtrained and eager to please He's affectionate, goofy, and incredibly loving. He wants to bond deeply with his people and be part of an active, engaged home. The Home Rocky Needs Rocky will thrive with: - A dogsavvy, active family - Someone committed to maintaining his training - A confident, highenergy dog friend (ideal but not required) - Structure, supervision, and plenty of exercise If you're looking for a fun, trainable, affectionate adventure buddy—and you enjoy the energy and joy of a young dog—Rocket may be your perfect match.
