About Ricky
Ricky, a two-year-old chocolate lab, came in from a rough start: found wandering through the snow, dragging the tether that had been his only companion outdoors. Thanks to a caring neighbor, Ricky got a warm foster spot and then landed with rescue. Since then, he’s brought energy, good spirits, and a whole lot of goofiness to every room. Ricky is always up for a game—he’s a pro at balloon volleyball—and his playful side comes out around other dogs, kids, and anyone up for a round with toys. Expect high energy; this is a dog who greets the world wide-eyed and ready for fun. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, house and crate trained, and generally healthy. Once he knows you, you’ll see an easygoing side, too. Ricky can be a bit opinionated on leash but learns quickly and loves adventures, especially hiking. He just might outshine you in a photo shoot—he already landed a spot in the rescue’s calendar. Get ready for a joyful, clownish friend who wants in on everything, from the backyard to the trails.
