About Herbie The Love Bug
Meet Herbert—better known as Herbie the Love Bug. Herbie was rescued in the nick of time from a euthanasia list, and everyone here is pretty relieved he ended up at Castoff instead of that dirt road where someone left him behind. These days he’s getting what he deserves: solid meals, soft beds, and a steady stream of kindness as he puts on the healthy weight he needs to catch his lab-sized head up to the rest of him. Herbie’s a handsome guy with a dark chocolate coat and four white, speckled paws—like he dipped them in candy sprinkles. You’ll have a hard time not smiling looking at him. Around people and other animals, Herbie is all easygoing warmth, taking in daily life with calm appreciation. The consensus from everyone who’s met him: this is a good boy with heart-melting powers. He radiates that big-headed lab charm, but without the need for constant action. If you want a chill, lovable companion whose socks never match and who might just crawl straight into your heart, Herbie the Love Bug is waiting to meet you.
