About Moose
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Moose is a highly trained, neutered male German Shepherd Dog located in NE Wisconsin with a stunning sable coat and a true working drive. Born on July 4, 2024, Moose has the star sign Cancer, known for loyalty and persistence. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has been housebroken as well as crate trained. Pulled from a local shelter after being owner surrendered, Moose was expertly trained by a retired law enforcement handler for human remains detection (HRD). He has a strong ball drive, clear head, and sharp responsiveness to training, particularly in searching independently and indicating sources with a solid 'down.' Moose must go to a real working homeโhe will not be happy as a pet. He requires a handler with their own training aids, a fenced yard or secure kennel, and an adopter who can continue his advanced detection work. He is neutral toward other large dogs but must not be left unsupervised, as his strong nose can lead him to wander. Full support and ongoing training guidance will be provided to his new handler. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
