Gunner and his brother Ranger were found as young strays, only 13 weeks old, before being brought in by Oklahoma Pet Collective Society with the help of a dedicated foster. Initially, Gunner was very fearful and skittish, seeking comfort only from his sibling while shying away from the world. Under foster care, Gunner has blossomed and shown remarkable progress. He has learned how to walk on a leash, begun to trust people, and developed more confidence each day. Now crate trained and working steadily on his house training, Gunner has proven to be a quick study—he already knows "sit" and is rapidly picking up more basic commands. The focus now is on polishing his manners, as any cheerful puppy learning about boundaries for the first time would need. Gunner is a wiggly, joyful pup who adores gentle attention. Once he feels safe, he melts into affection, gladly rolling over to offer his belly for scratches.
