Meet this Honey When she was found, she was completely matted into a painful shell of fur. Once she finally got a much-needed haircut, the adorable little dog underneath came out — and she was clearly so much happier to be free from all that weight and discomfort. She’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place, but one thing she knows for sure: people are her safe place. She loves to press against her humans, be held, or curl up next to you to sleep. She’s been learning that other dogs can be friends and does well with calm pups, but high-energy dogs that rush into her space can still scare her. She’s been good with cats, though sometimes she thinks they look a little fun to chase. She is learning potty training and is doing well with pee pads which is a fabulous start. Because she’s still building confidence, she’d do best in a patient home with no other pets, or someone willing to supervise and help her continue learning how to interact.
