About Arya
3/12/26. Look at this adorable dober gal! ARYA just came to us from the Lee County shelter, so we don’t know much about her past, but she’s incredibly sweet and such a joy to spend time with. She’s friendly and loves everyone she meets. Total Velcro Doberman. Arya is heartworm positive, and we need to get some weight on her before we can start treatment. We’re really hoping for a foster or foster-to-adopt home for this doll baby, as we are absolutely inundated with surrenders and new intakes right now. She seems to like other dogs, though we haven’t formally tested her with another yet. We also don’t know how she is with cats or kids. At first, we thought she was older than her estimated 3 years. But after just a few days of good groceries and love, she’s already flourishing and really does seem like a younger dober gal. Lucky is the family who wins this beauty’s heart. 3/7/26 We welcomed Arya to DRL today. We were told by the shelter she’s about 3 years old, though she may be closer to 7. She’s a super sweet girl. Arya needs to put on some weight before she can start her heartworm treatment, so for now she’s getting three meals a day and lots of care. If you’d like to foster her, please fill out an application on our website. Our rescue provides everything she needs, including a crate, bed, food, and preventatives. Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
