Meet #Texas Another sweet soul found wandering the streets… and now safe at HHPP. Texas was found as a stray in the same area as #Georgia and #Colorado on Elm Road, and we can’t help but think these three might be siblings. Within about 30 minutes of each other they all showed up — scared, confused, but at least they had each other. At only about 8–9 months old, no puppy should be out trying to survive on the streets. Texas is a handsome boy with those adorable ears that seem to hear everything going on around him. He’s not very big , maybe around 40ish pounds, making him the perfect medium-sized companion. He can be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he realizes you’re kind and safe, he melts right into you and enjoys all the pets you’re willing to give. The volunteers say he walks beautifully on a leash and is such a sweet, gentle boy. It breaks our hearts thinking about these young pups trying to figure life out on their own. At least they had each other, but what they really deserve now is a real home, a warm bed, and a family to grow up with. Texas is still just a puppy with his whole life ahead of him. All he needs is someone to give him a chance.
