Bert is a 1½-year-old Hound mix with a kind heart and an easygoing personality. He came to the shelter as a stray with his friend Ernie, and both boys quickly showed everyone just how nice they are. Bert already knows sit and shake, which tells us he likely had a home where someone spent time teaching him his manners. He carries himself like a dog who has been loved before and is ready to find that again. With his medium energy level, Bert enjoys getting out to play but also settles nicely. He has done well with other dogs and would likely do great in a home with kids as well. Bert is simply a well-rounded, friendly dog who enjoys people, companionship, and being part of the action.
