About Pablo
Request an application at homelesstoforever@gmail.com as we have had issues with Petfinder. 8-month-old Pablo and his brother, Roberto, were rescued by the Homeless To Forever Foundation (HTFF) thanks to a twist of fate and a lie. A woman contacted us, asking if we could rescue two fluffy terrier puppies born to her brindle-colored pug a couple of months earlier. HTFF made the two-hour drive to a rural neighborhood on dirt roads, filled with roaming dogs. Upon arrival, we learned that the fluffy puppies had already been given away and only three small black puppies remained in need. HTFF explained that all-black mutt puppies are often the most difficult to find homes for. The woman showed us the father—an all-black, very small terrier who lived across the street—and the mother, a brindle pug (see photo). The woman's daughter was distraught when we initially declined to take the puppies, telling us they would be sent to the shelter. Ultimately, HTFF took in the puppies, staying true to our mission of rescuing animals in need. The local shelter in this area is notoriously high-kill and plagued by disease. We knew that leaving the puppies behind would be a death sentence. One of the three puppies has already found a loving home! Pablo, like his brothers, is athletic, exceptionally gentle, friendly, and intelligent. He is a playful pup who loves chew toys and wiggles with excitement. Submissive by nature, Pablo gets along well with other dogs. While he does chase cats, he can tolerate them, but we hope to find him a home without cats. Pablo currently weighs 13 pounds and is fully grown, remaining a long-legged yet small-sized dog. Pablo would be pawesome for an active family. He would enjoy the dog park and walks. He would enjoy hikes and playing ball. He loves to relax by your side or on your lap once he's had a busy day. Pablo's brother, Roberto looks like Pablo's twin with just a slight facial difference. LET'S GET THIS LITTLE LUCKY, BLACK MUTT A WONDERFUL FURREVER HOME! Pablo is fixed, chipped, and vaccinated. He may need further puppy booster shots. Adoption Donation for one lucky mutt: $350 Adoption Donation for the pair: $400
