Gunner is such a fun pup! He has a cute little puppy grin and wags his whole body when he greets you! He is super smart and learned to shake and lie down in one day. He’s very food-motivated and eager to please, which makes training so fun. He’s working on harder tricks now, like turning around in place. He is potty-trained and kennel-trained. He can relax quietly in his kennel during the day and overnight. He has not had any accidents in his kennel or the home. He walks well on a leash. He is still learning not to dart in front of the humans to chase vehicles driving by, but otherwise, he does really well. He’s very excited to meet new people! He loves humans. He has also done well with the cats in the home. He wishes the cats were more playful and willing to romp, but he can leave them alone and be redirected if needed. We think he could be perfectly happy as an only dog, either in a home with cats or in one without other pets. He loves to play with toys and can entertain himself during playtime. He also loves to snuggle and get scratches from humans. Generally, he is a very well-behaved pup; he is calm in the kennel, can still relax if our routine gets thrown off, and he can be redirected easily from shoes, blankets, etc. When he does get really excited, though, he still jumps and nips at feet. Because of this, we think he’ll be best in a home with older kids or no kids. Gunner was born in June of 2025. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is currently taking flea and heartworm preventatives. He has a tail that was docked prior to him being rescued by TCDR. This sweetheart will make someone very happy!
