About Mickey
Mickey will be at our St. Pawtrick's Day Meet & Greet at the Refinery Hotel on March 14 from 12–3 PM. Please note that there will be no on-site adoptions at the event, and all adoption applications will be reviewed and processed afterward. Mickey is a charming 3-year-old, 13lb Maltese who has traded the California sun for city life with absolute grace. A true "best of both worlds" companion, Mickey is just as happy power-walking through the neighborhood as he is curled up on the sofa. Life in the City Mickey has adjusted beautifully to urban living and is a total pro on the leash. While he's a sweet, playful, and gentle soul, he thrives in a quiet, low-key environment. He's looking for a family that appreciates the balance of active outdoor moments and cozy downtime. Training & Progress Mickey is a dedicated student! He's currently mastering "sit" and "stay" and will need a forever family committed to continuing his obedience journey. House Training: He is doing great with puppy pads and is working hard on transitioning his skills to the great outdoors. Crate Training: He handles his crate like a champ during the day. Companionship: Mickey loves his people and his favorite dumpling toy. Due to his gentle nature, he'd do best in a home with older children. He can live with another dog, provided they are introduced slowly and patiently. Vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. Neutered and microchipped. Tested for vector-borne illnesses. Current on flea, tick, and heart worm prevention. To apply to foster/foster-to-adopt to adopt Mickey, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
