About Bluey
Bluey turned up in the field of a church school in San Antonio, trailing along with another dog but wound up being the one that got lucky and rescued. He's shaped like a bowling ball and moves just as easily from his crate to his food bowl. Outside, he likes to flop onto his back in the grass with all four paws up, sometimes getting stuck like a ladybug trying to flip over—he does this for belly rubs and a bit of attention. Most of his day is spent finding the softest places to nap, but he's also playful and silly, especially when playing chase games with his best friend Hanalei. Bluey’s an adult, medium-energy dog who will get more active with encouragement and the right person. He gets along well with female dogs of all sizes and is good with children, though he's a bit selective with male dogs. For the last year, Bluey has been fostered in Texas, but now he’s ready to make the move north to Colorado. The process for adoption or foster will go through our partner rescue in Texas, with an additional transport fee required. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue focused on saving dogs in South Texas and finding them new lives in Colorado. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
