About Ms. Lynn

Meet our sweet Ms. Lynn (AKA Linnie) who, despite being like 70% blind, managed to survive on the streets while raising kittens (who have all been adopted). An infection left her eyes with scarring before we got to her, but she can still see well enough to jump up on things and play. And boy does she play. I thought she was old and resigned at first, but once she met my other fosters, she perked up and continues to be more playful than any of my other cats. Lynny played on her own with toys for a bit, but now any cat who walks by her has a good chance of being pawed at or playfully tackled (and also groomed by her!). Her happiness means the world to me:') Her current best friend in the whole world is an orange kitten with six toes who is also adoptable. He's recovering from leg surgery right now, but before his surgery, I would always find Silas and Ms. Lynn together, playing footsie or rabbit kicking each other. (I hold her up to the crate he's recovering in now, and Silas always perks up when he sees Ms. Lynn.) She gets around just fine but takes it slower than other cats, probably due to the vision loss. She loves being pet on her head and lets you hold her (but gets restless to be back on the floor where her cat friends are), and she gets very excited for food. All cats and kittens adopted through Friends of Felines are spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations and rabies shots (if old enough). Lynn tested negative for FeLV and positive for FIV. FIV does not affect longevity of life and can only be spread through a hard, aggressive bite (and Ms. Lynn would never:) If you'd like to meet this icon, see our adoption process below: ~ 1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt 2) Meet with the cat in their foster home 3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules. ** We are not able to hold cats for a particular family longer than about 7 days, unless the cat is available for pre-adoption which will be noted on their profile. Please wait to apply until you are ready to take a cat home. ** We are a completely foster-based nonprofit rescue run by volunteers. We do this work out of love<3
