About Hunter

Hunter – ID 17406 – Kennel 78 Arrived March 6 – Hound Mix – Tri Color & Watermarked Brindle – Male 9 years old – 39.4 lb Neutered – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative House trained – Dog friendly – Cat friendly – Good with children Hunter is a gentle, sweet soul who is having a hard time understanding how he ended up in the shelter. At 9 years old, he has spent most of his life in the comfort of a home, so the busy shelter environment has left him feeling a bit confused. Even so, Hunter continues to show what a truly good boy he is. This handsome hound has a unique coat described as tri-color with watermarked brindle, meaning his black, tan, and white coloring also has faint brindle striping blended softly into the coat — a subtle pattern that gives him a beautiful, one-of-a-kind look. Hunter has wonderful manners and is already house trained, which makes the transition into a new home much easier. He is good with children, dog friendly, and cat friendly, making him a great candidate for many different types of families. He is a calm, kind dog who simply needs a little patience and reassurance while he learns that he is safe and loved again. Once Hunter settles in, his sweet personality will shine through even more. Senior dogs like Hunter have so much love to give and often become the most loyal companions. He would do best in a home where someone can gently help him adjust and show him that better days are ahead. Hunter deserves a soft bed, a peaceful home, and a family who will give him the comfort and stability he’s missing right now. In return, he will offer quiet companionship, gratitude, and a heart full of love. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
