Betty is a 3-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix with a tender heart and a brave spirit. She came to Family Dog Rescue from a hoarding situation in California's Central Valley along with her three puppies, all of whom she cared for so lovingly despite the difficult circumstances she came from. When Betty first arrived, she was understandably terrified of people and unsure of the world around her. But in just a few short days in her foster home, this little girl began to blossom. Once she realized she was safe, Betty started seeking out affection, jumping into laps, and soaking up the love she had clearly been missing. Betty is incredibly sweet and very smart - she already responds to her name and is eager to connect with her people. With a little patience and kindness, she'll be a wonderful dog to train and will thrive in a home where she can continue to build her confidence. She may be a little shy at first, so her ideal adopter will simply give her a day or two to settle in and feel secure. Once she does, her affectionate and loving personality shines through. Betty does enjoy chasing cats, so she would do best in a home without them. This resilient little mama has come so far in such a short time.
