About Wesley
Wesley is a small, 3-year-old Yorkie mix who makes an ideal housemate. He’s crate trained, house-trained, and has wonderful manners at home. Wesley seeks out affection, curling up for snuggles with both his foster parents and his canine sister. He’s got a quirky habit of sleeping flat on his back, legs splayed in total trust and comfort. Inside, Wesley is mellow and cuddly, but he’s sensitive outdoors where busy streets and strangers can make him nervous. Loud areas, city noise, or dog parks are overwhelming, and he can react by barking or pulling on leash. His foster family is making progress with his leash reactivity, but patience is required. Wesley is best suited for a calm, low-key household in a quiet neighborhood. He’ll do especially well with another gentle, friendly dog who loves cozying up and quiet companionship; he’s not suited for homes with cats or children. He’s looking for an experienced adopter who can keep working on his confidence outside and fully appreciates a devoted snuggler. Wesley is fostered in the San Jose area.
