He can take a little time to settle into new situations, but once he does, he becomes a devoted shadow, happily following his people from room to room. He has claimed his spot in the bed, enjoys being nearby, and is perfectly content doing his own thing as long as he is close to everyone else. Sammy does well uncrated in the home and has very nice indoor manners. He is starting to show interest in toys and enjoys a calm, predictable routine. He does well with other dogs and would thrive in a peaceful household that allows him to ease into new experiences at his own pace. Getting leashed up is still his least favorite activity, but he continues to make steady progress. Everyday things like moving through doorways have become much easier for him, and once outside, he walks well on leash. While he would certainly enjoy a fenced yard, he handles leash walks just fine. Sammy would be a wonderful match for adopters looking for a quiet, affectionate companion who bonds deeply with his people. With patience and consistency, he will continue to gain confidence and blossom into an incredibly loyal little dog.
