About Muffin & Buffy

Meet Muffin and Buffy, a bonded pair of semi-feral cats searching for the right person to give them the gentle, consistent home they deserve. Muffin, an orange and white male around six years old, spent over a year recovering from health issues and became quite close to his caretakers in that time. He’s a large cat with classic tomcat cheeks, a soft meow when he’s seeking attention, and a warm, affectionate streak if you let him come to you. Muffin tends to be submissive with other cats and is shy with strangers but blossoms into a relaxed, cuddly companion as trust grows. His main health issues— a heart murmur and occasional runny eyes— are stable for now, though an adopter should be ready for future vet visits if needed. Buffy, his petite grey friend (roughly 2.5 years old), is spirited and loyal. She’s usually the braver of the two, especially when she’s standing up for Muffin, yet she will hiss and keep her distance until she feels safe. When she trusts you, Buffy softens, becoming lively and playful, chasing toys or curling up with Muffin. Though both cats do well with other cats, energetic dogs make them nervous; calm or senior dogs might be tolerated if they keep their distance. These two absolutely need a patient, understanding adopter willing to give them the time and space to settle in— and that could mean months of hiding before you see much progress. They’re not suited to homes with children and need a gentle, quiet environment. In return, you get a deeply rewarding bond with a unique, loving pair that just needs someone willing to invest in their trust. Muffin and Buffy are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped, and reliably litter box trained. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
