About Muffin & Buffy

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Muffin (an approximately 6-year-old orange and white male) and Buffy (an approximately 2-year-old grey female), a devoted and bonded pair seeking a forever home together. These semi-feral kitties may be shy when meeting new people, but with patience and understanding, they form close, loving bonds with their trusted humans. Their journey began as part of a large stray colony, but after Muffin’s health required extended care, the two cats forged a remarkable connection with their caretakers—and with each other. Muffin is a large, gentle boy weighing in at about 13 pounds. He boasts handsome tomcat cheeks and a soft meow to request attention, though he’s initially shy around strangers and often hides until he feels safe. Once his trust is earned, Muffin shines as a true cuddler who adores head scratches and greeting his people warmly. While he’s not fond of being carried, he does tolerate it, and his gentle, laid-back temperament makes him happy to relax on a cat tower or comfy bed. Muffin is friendly with other cats but tends to be submissive—Buffy is quick to defend him if he’s picked on. He has a heart murmur and occasional runny eyes, though both are stable and require only routine monitoring. Muffin is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and litter box trained, with a recent dental completed. Buffy is the petite, playful half of this duo at about 8 pounds, with luxurious long fur and charming Persian features. Though she can be feisty and cautious when first meeting people—often hissing and keeping her distance—Buffy’s true personality emerges once she feels safe. She’s affectionate, loves attention and head scratches, and can often be found cuddled with Muffin or zooming after her toys. Like Muffin, she does well with other cats and prefers a predictable, calm environment. Buffy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and litter box trained. An ideal home for Muffin and Buffy is quiet and patient, without children, and possibly with calm older dogs who give them space. It’s essential adopters have realistic expectations, as both cats may hide for weeks or even months before warming up. With consistency, patience, and gentle care, they’ll blossom into loyal companions just as they did with their caretakers. Give these two the loving indoor life they deserve! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
