About Roman
Meet Roman, an adult male domestic shorthair who arrived as a shelter transfer, and he carries with him the quiet resilience of a cat who has been through more than he lets on. At first glance, you’ll notice he’s a shy, timid boy who prefers to observe the world from the safety of a cozy hiding spot. He isn’t the type to rush into new situations — he takes his time, and he needs someone who understands that trust is something he gives slowly, but sincerely. What makes Roman truly special is the transformation that happens once he realizes he’s safe. Start petting him, and you’ll feel him melt under your hand, his whole body relaxing as he leans into the affection he’s been too nervous to ask for. It’s as if he’s been waiting for someone to show him that gentle touch can be a good thing. Roman would thrive in a quiet, patient home where he can decompress at his own pace. A calm environment will help him settle in and begin to understand that he is finally somewhere he can exhale. With time, consistency, and kindness, Roman will blossom into a deeply loving companion — the kind of cat who forms a strong, meaningful bond with the person who gives him the chance he’s been waiting for. If you’re someone who appreciates the quiet victories — the first time he comes out to greet you, the soft purrs that start to rumble, the trust that grows day by day — Roman may be the perfect match. He doesn’t need much, just someone who sees his gentle heart and is willing to help it shine. Interested in adopting?
