Meet #Keeley Sometimes dogs come into our care under really hard circumstances… but every once in a while, one of them walks in and completely steals the hearts of every single volunteer here. And that’s exactly what happened with Keeley. Keeley originally came to us as part of a humane case that later turned into an owner surrender while she was in our care. The moment she arrived, it didn’t take long before the volunteers absolutely lost their minds over her , and honestly… we still are. This girl is just pure joy wrapped up in a short, stocky, chunky little body. Keeley is about 3 years old and around 60 pounds of belly-rub loving goodness. She’s got the cutest chunky belly, the sweetest face, and a personality that just makes you smile the second you meet her. She’s the kind of dog that leans into you for love, happily flops over for belly rubs, and reminds you how good it feels to just sit and enjoy a moment with a dog who adores people. While in our care, she quickly became a volunteer favorite. Taking care of Keeley never felt like a chore — it feels like a treat. She absolutely loves her time outside with the volunteers, enjoys going on walks, and if you grab a toy you’ll quickly learn that this girl LOVES to play fetch. Watching her little chunky body run around the play yard with a toy in her mouth is enough to make anyone laugh. Keeley doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, but as always a meet and greet with resident pups will be required to make sure everyone gets along. What Keeley wants most now is simple… A home. A couch. A family who thinks her chunky belly is just as perfect as we do. After everything she’s been through, we would love nothing more than to see this sweet girl walk out of the shelter and into a life where she’s loved forever.
