About Izzy
My name is Izzy and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m a happy little love bug! I am a young girl - likely around 1 year old - and I weigh 15 lbs. I came to my foster home in Bella Vista, AR, after being exposed to Parvo virus. A whole bunch of us dogs got sick and our breeder decided to give us up rather than pay for treatment. SIRA worked with a wonderful vet to make sure we got treated quickly and all of us recovered! I love to be the center of my human’s attention and will greet you with airplane ears and tail wags. I love belly rubs and chest scratches! I’ve got very good manners, especially for a young girl. I’m potty trained and don’t get into mischief in the house, so I don’t need to be crated when foster mom is gone. I love walks and will run to the door and wait to get leashed up. I’m well-behaved outside, prancing along at my human’s pace. I only pull sometimes when I see a bird or a squirrel. I am food motivated and will show off my most perfect “sit” for you if I think you have a treat! I keep myself busy with chew toys and stuffed toys and am very proud when I get down to the stuffing part. I’m friendly with other dogs and affectionate and curious with people. Sometimes I’m shy at first, but once I check you out, I’m happy to be friends. I have not met any cats, but since I like chasing squirrels, they may not be the best match for me. I have met human kids and enjoyed them. I am a healthy girl – spayed and vaccinated. When I first got here, my foster mom noticed that I was itchy. I got some medicine and changed to a limited ingredient diet. We’re not sure if I’m allergic to something outside or in my food, but I’m feeling better now. I was a ham at my vet appointment soaking in all of the attention. I got a bath, a nail trim, and even a shot! My perfect forever home will be one that has time to pet me and pay attention to me and include me in all of the action. I’d do fine with another dog or as the only dog. If you live in the Midwest and would like a pretty little princess like me to adore, then visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you so they can confirm if we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they’ll introduce you to my foster mom so we can meet! I’d love that!
