Let me tell you she is a unicorn dog. Fosters like her don’t come across often. She isn’t shy, loves everyone she meets. Hazel spent the morning with me at work at the bowling alley greeting everyone. She is good with kids 3 yrs & up. Hazel is doing well with the other dogs and is fine with the cat. She walks good on the leash. She loves people (gives kisses). Hops on the couch & bed on her own. She even ran and jumped in bed with my husband & the cat. I gave her a starter top knot. She ran in and out of the house with the other dogs . This afternoon she went to Love Your Dog to be groomed. She was very well behaved at the groomer. A big huge THANK YOU to Ashley at LOVE YOUR DOG for giving Hazel such a great groom. Here are notes from her groomer: “Miss Hazel the Yorkie came in for a little glow up today! Under that fluff was the sweetest little face! Hazel was an absolute angel for her spa day, soaking up all the love and treats. Now she’s looking like a brand new girl and ready for her next chapter. We were so happy to donate her grooming to help her put her best paw forward for adoption. If you’re interested in giving Hazel the loving home she deserves, please reach out to our friends at Second Chance Boxer and Friends Rescue for more information.” 3/6/26-Hazel is a tiny 6 pound Yorkie that arrived tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. She came from a commercial breeder as she just didn’t have babies, smart girl! She loves people and gives kisses. She is a little intimidated by the other 3 yorkies in the house right now but she is getting along great with them. On the way home from her pick up we broke the rules and stopped by the bowling alley I work at. She jumped in multiple people’s arms and gave kisses. Totally not what we are use to from ex-breeder dogs. She got bathed right away and was fairly well behaved. She is currently hanging out on the back of the couch like she has been here for days instead of one hour. She has her pre-spay appointment Monday & her spay on the following Monday 3/16. Once she is spayed & we get to know her a little bit she will be ready to go home.
