Emitt is one of those dogs who just wants to be with you. He absolutely loves snuggling, riding in the car, treats, mealtime, and being right by your side. He’s incredibly tolerant with kids and happily lets them use him as a pillow most of the time—he’s truly a gentle soul. He has the biggest heart and an even bigger love for companionship. Emitt would thrive in a home where he isn’t left alone for long stretches and can be part of everyday life. The only challenge Emitt has is with being kenneled when left alone. He sleeps in his kennel at night without any issues, but when his people leave, he gets anxious and may try to escape. Some days are better than others for him when his foster family goes away, but with patience, training, or alternative setups, or a doggy companion, he will continue to improve and trust. Overall, Emitt’s foster family says he is sooo, sooo sweet—an affectionate, loyal boy who will make an amazing companion for someone ready to give him the love and reassurance he deserves!
