About Ruby

For inquiries contact jean@staf.org. Information and application are at www.staf.org. Ruby is a pleasingly plump, tri-colored tabby with a stately presence, thanks in part to her enthusiastic love of mealtime. Beneath that regal figure is one of the sweetest souls you could hope to meet. Ruby adores people and is always ready to shower her admirers with affection, happily licking a friendly hand and offering her love to anyone willing to stop and say hello. Ruby came to us from another shelter that was unable to house cats who are feline leukemia positive (FeLV), which Ruby is. Since arriving, she has received top-notch veterinary care, including dental surgeries to help keep her feeling her best. While Ruby is thriving, FeLV does mean her immune system is more delicate, so she will need a caring adopter who can keep a watchful eye on her health (our Adoption Coordinator will discuss at length with you). Because FeLV can spread between cats through shared food and water bowls, grooming, or contact with bodily fluids, Ruby would do best as the only cat in the home or with other FeLV-positive feline friends. Ruby truly knows no strangers, and greets everyone as a new best friend. With her affectionate personality and gentle charm, she would make an incredibly rich and rewarding addition to the right home, perhaps even alongside one of her FeLV kitty companions. If you’re looking for a cat who gives endless kitty kisses and unconditional love, Ruby will shine colorfully, and you will surely treasure her as the rare gem that she is! DOB: 10/2017 Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org. All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
