About Ruby
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Ruby is a pleasingly plump, tri-colored tabby with a stately presence, thanks in part to her enthusiastic love of mealtime. Beneath that regal figure is one of the sweetest souls you could hope to meet. Ruby adores people and is always ready to shower her admirers with affection, happily licking a friendly hand and offering her love to anyone willing to stop and say hello. Ruby came to her current rescue from a shelter that was unable to care for cats who are feline leukemia positive (FeLV), which is a condition Ruby has. Since arriving, she has received dedicated veterinary care, including dental surgeries to keep her comfortable and thriving. Because FeLV affects her immune system, Ruby needs a caring adopter who can monitor her health closely, and it will be important to discuss her special needs with the Adoption Coordinator. FeLV can be transmitted to other cats through close contact, so Ruby will need to be the only cat in her new home, or share her space with other FeLV-positive feline friends. She greets everyone as a new best friend, and with her affectionate personality and gentle charm, Ruby will be a truly rewarding addition to a loving home. Her future family will treasure her for the sweet, loving companion that she is. As a fun note, Ruby was born on October 9th, which makes her a Libra—the sign of companionship and harmony, perfectly suited for such a social and affectionate cat. Start your journey together!
