About Paulina
Paulina has a big heart and an independent personality. She’s a 40-pound, medium-sized mixed-breed adult who landed in Maine after being picked up as a stray in Georgia. Right away, Paulina showed she knows her manners—fully house trained, crate trained, and pretty laid-back once she has her bearings. She enjoys toys and will entertain herself, but won’t turn down playtime with people. Other dogs are fine by her, though she isn’t always graceful reading their cues, so a hands-on owner who can oversee dog play would be helpful. She’d also make a happy only dog. Paulina doesn’t fall for anyone instantly; her affection is something you earn. But those who do earn it get her loyalty and trust. She walks nicely on a leash, plays hard, then settles in for a solid couch snuggle. Paulina greets everyone politely, but she needs some time before giving her heart. Once she does, she’ll stick by your side. She gets along with other dogs and is reported to do well with cats. Paulina is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a family to win her over.
