About Gwendalyn

Looking for a new bestie who is demure, polite, sweet with a tiny dash of spice, but also a recovering shrinking violet with an amazing blowout? Allow us to introduce you to Gwendalyn! She is a five-year-old, 35 pound mixed breed pup who is actually a diva in disguise. While she already knows how beautiful she is, she loves praise and won't get tired of you reminding her. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is water; she has yet to turn it down and will tap her empty bowl to let you know she needs a refill. She also loves mealtime and chewing her bully stick while watching the series Animal Control. She's pretty low energy and is good with curling up on her bed with her chew toy for much of the day. She's also very curious and if you've been gone from her sight for a while, she might come looking for you just to see what you're up to. It doesn't seem like she has much experience with walking on a leash or being housebroken but she's progressing daily. Gwendalyn is very nervous and fearful of the world, but you can tell she wants to trust again. Loud noises when outside tend to frighten her, so she is gradually being exposed to new stimuli. As her courage grows, she's been putting herself out there bit by bit. While she is often weary of new people, you can tell how much love Gwendalyn has to give and would gladly accept an amazing family's love in return. As she is slowly learning to trust again, you can see this girl's little personality blossoming. In a loving and patient home that can shower her with all the praise and adoration she deserves, she will truly thrive. Gwendalyn is currently being fostered in Long Island City, NY. Her adoption fee is $475. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
