Meet Onyx, a 14 mo old 36 lb mixed breed dog. Onyx was found wandering the streets with her buddy Reggie. Cold. Hungry and very frightened. They were brought to Canine Collecrive to stay in our quiet annex where they could decompress. Onyx is starting to come out of her shell with the help of her foster mom who has a gift with very shy dogs. With help from her small canine and feline foster sibs, Onyx is playing, napping amd giving out kisses. She still considers her crate to be her safe place but is getting so much braver everyday. Because Onyx thrives in the company of other confident dogs (and insistent puppies!), we are requring a forever home to include a canine sib. Older respectful kids would be fine but young children would be too chaotic for our sweet girl. She does well with patience and kindness.
