Meet Michael Gray (aka Mikey) -a snuggly 1 year old, 72lb boy with a heart of gold and gorgeous eyes to match! Mikey is the kind of dog who loves being close to his people. Whether he's curled up beside you on the couch or along on a walk, he's happiest when he's part of whatever you're doing. He enjoys a good stroll or run on leash, taking in the sights with his signature expression as he carefully studies the world around him. Along with his serious expression, Mikey has a seriously sweet and silly personality. When he's ready to come inside, he'll let out a funny little chirp and fix you with a determined stare until you comply. And if he can't get to the room you're in, he produces the most adorable chortling whine to let you know his deep desire to be with you. Mikey is an enthusiastic chewer with a personal mission to defeat every stuffed toy he meets, so real bones are his treat of choice. His snack tax is wonderfully easy to meet-he loves treats of all kinds, including ice, fruits, veggies, and even lettuce! Mikey is excellent with children, his current sister dog, and the dogs he's met on his daily walks. With his sweet nature, silly sounds, and loyal companionship, Mikey is ready to bring his golden boy love to one lucky family. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
