Brie
AvailableBrie is a young, large Great Pyrenees with a beautiful long white and cream coat. She is spayed, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations. Brie is currently located in Gulfport, MS, and is looking for a loving home that can appreciate her special qualities.
About Brie
Brie arrived at an overcrowded shelter in rough shape, both physically and emotionally. Her coat was thin, her spirit was low, and she was heartworm positive. Now, after time, care, and treatment, Brie has fully transformed—her coat is lush and healthy, and she's stepped into her role as a true Great Pyrenees. At around three years old and just over 60 lbs, she brings all the classic traits of a livestock guardian: thoughtful, cautious, and loyal to her chosen people. Brie thinks for herself and doesn’t treat everyone as her best friend right away. When she bonds, though, it’s deep and lasting. She can be wary of new dogs, but with a slow introduction, she becomes more relaxed. She’ll do best with other respectful dogs and a secured fence, as she's never shown any interest in escaping. Cats remain something of a mystery to her, but squirrels definitely catch her attention. While she hasn't had much indoor experience, she has done well in the kennel with no accidents or destructive behavior—she’s likely to settle into house life with patience. Brie will thrive with someone who understands, or is willing to learn about, livestock guardian breeds and values loyalty and independent thinking. She’s already overcome so much and deserves a place where she feels secure and appreciated for everything she is. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
