Meet Starfruit! Starfruit is one of fourteen precious puppies who landed in a high-euthanasia shelter with their mama. When their mom developed mastitis, Starfruit and most of her siblings had to be bottle-fed — and this little girl has blossomed ever since! Starfruit is the perfect mix of sweet and inquisitive. She loves affection and will happily cuddle up with her people, but she’s also the one who wants to see what’s happening, explore the room, and check out new toys. She has a curious little mind and a gentle heart — the best of both worlds. She enjoys playing with her siblings, investigating her surroundings, and then settling down for a cozy nap once she’s satisfied her curiosity. Because she’s still young, Starfruit is at a wonderful age to adapt beautifully to just about any home. With proper introductions and continued socialization, she should do well with dogs, cats, kids, or as a solo pup soaking up all the attention. Starfruit is 7 weeks old now and available to foster to adopt. What does Foster-to-Adopt mean? It means you bring Starfruit home as a foster while she finishes up any remaining vetting (such as vaccines or spay, if age-appropriate). Once her vetting is completed through our rescue, the adoption is finalized. It’s a great way to ensure a smooth transition while we complete her medical care!
