Hi, I’m Loki! I’m a 14-month-old Heeler/Rottweiler mix who is fully vetted and ready to find a home that can match my energy and enthusiasm for life. I’m a smart dog who enjoys learning and working with my person. I already know basic commands like sit and lay down, and I’m very motivated to keep learning. Training is fun for me, and I respond well to direction and redirection. I’m an active, high-energy dog who needs daily exercise and mental stimulation to be my best self. I would thrive with an adopter who enjoys outdoor activities, training, and spending time engaging with their dog. Because I have a lot of drive and enthusiasm, I do best with a confident handler who is consistent with training and understands working-breed needs. I’m a good dog who truly wants to please — I just need the right leadership and structure to help me succeed. I walk well on a leash but may pull occasionally if something interesting catches my attention. With guidance, I refocus quickly. When meeting new people, I can get excited and may jump, but I redirect well and continue improving with consistency. Due to my energy level, I would do best in a home with teens or older children rather than very young kids. My previous home is returning me because my energy level and working-breed drive were more than they were able to accommodate. My DNA also shows a higher percentage of Heeler than Rottweiler, which explains why I’m happiest when I have activities and engagement each day.
