About Zelda
Zelda is the kind of dog who quietly fits into your life and makes herself right at home. Friendly, curious, and easygoing, she enjoys being close to her people but is also perfectly content doing her own thing. She has a calm, balanced personality that makes living with her feel natural and effortless. Around a year old and about 45 pounds, Zelda has already developed wonderful house manners. She is potty trained and uses a bell on the door to let you know when she needs to go outside. After the first few days of settling in, she has had no accidents in the house. She walks well on leash, is very redirectable, and is eager to please. Zelda already knows a few tricks and picks up new things quickly, showing just how smart and observant she is. Zelda loves other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion in the home. She is also wonderful with kids and has a gentle, adaptable nature that helps her fit easily into family life. While she enjoys hopping up on the couch or bed for a moment if invited, she often moves to a cool spot like a doorway or bathroom to nap once she gets warm. She has a relaxed approach to meals and tends to graze rather than rush through her food. When it comes to taking medication, she has a favorite trick — wrapping it in a little ham or bacon and tossing it for her to catch works every time. Zelda would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can run and explore, along with a family willing to provide continued routine and structure. She is not a big fan of crates, but she is perfectly trustworthy roaming the house and settles in comfortably on her own. Smart, affectionate, and quietly loyal, Zelda offers the perfect balance of companionship and independence. For someone looking for a sweet dog who will naturally become part of everyday life, Zelda could be the perfect match. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
