Hi… I’m Zombie. Yeah, I know. It’s a funny name for a dog who loves life this much. Not too long ago, I was just another face in a shelter in Southern California. Loud kennels. Cold floors. So many dogs hoping someone would stop in front of their gate. I tried to stay brave. I wagged my tail every time someone walked by, just in case that was my person. Some days no one stopped. But I never stopped believing. I’m a one year old Puggle mix and 26 pounds, and my heart is bigger than all of that put together. Even after the shelter, even after waiting, I still run toward people — not away. I still believe every new face could be my forever. I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy, but the thing I want most isn’t found in a medical chart. It’s found in a family… a lap… a warm voice… a safe place to rest my head.
