Hi Clifford here! Yes, that Clifford. Well, not exactly the giant red dog you might remember from Clifford the Big Red Dog. I’m a one-year-old who may only weigh about 10 pounds and my fur isn’t fire-engine red, but trust me the personality? Still big. I somehow ended up out on my own as a stray. Nobody ever came looking for me, but I’m ready to believe that just means my real family is still out there waiting to find me. Let’s start with the good stuff. I’m incredibly sweet. People say I’m not your typical chihuahua because I’m friendly, easygoing, and pretty confident. I love meeting other dogs and I get along with all of them, big or small. Honestly, if the other Clifford and I ever met, I’d probably still try to play with him. I’m playful and outgoing, but I’m also a bit of an explorer. I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing, sniffing around, and checking out the world. I’m not the clingy type, though I do enjoy a good cuddle session when the timing is right. Sitting in your lap while we relax together is definitely one of my favorite activities. I live with a cat in my foster home right now. I’ll admit I’m a little unsure about that creature. It’s not that I don’t like the cat, I just haven’t quite figured it out yet. With a little time, I think I’ll get the hang of it. I’m also a pretty well-mannered guy. I sleep quietly in my crate overnight and do well with it. I’m working on house training and doing pretty well. I’ve used pads and I take correction nicely, so I’m a dog who really wants to learn and do the right thing. I’d do well in just about any household because I’m friendly, adaptable, and easy to live with. Whether your home is big like the one in the stories, or small and cozy, I’ll bring the same thing the famous Clifford did, loyalty, heart, and a whole lot of personality. I’m neutered, up to date on my vaccines, and I’ll come with my health certificate. In other words, I’m ready to pack my little bags and head home.
