This three-year-old sweetheart truly hit the jackpot when she was rescued by a kind family on Christmas Eve, after being found roaming the roads. They welcomed her into their home and kept her safe and loved until the shelter reopened after the holidays. The best part of her holiday adventure is that we learned so much about Ivy’s wonderful personality! She did well with the other dogs in her temporary home. While she likes to be the boss, she’s never rude—just confident. Ivey prefers a cat-free home, as she doesn’t get along well with feline friends, but she was fantastic with the family's five-year-old child. Despite being such a loving and well-behaved dog, no one came looking for Ivey during her stray hold with us, so she’s now available for adoption and ready to find her forever family! We’ve also seen her fun, playful side at the shelter. When she met another dog here, she ran right up with a wagging tail, zoomed around, and tried to get her new friend to play. Ivy can show a dominant side by standing over other dogs to sniff them, but she communicates well and responds politely when corrected.
