This incredibly sweet and gentle boy is about 4 years old and has shown nothing but love and resilience, despite his difficult past. River and his sister Gracie were rescued from a challenging hoarding situation, where they weren't receiving the care and affection every dog deserves. After both were surrendered to a police station, River narrowly escaped euthanasia when he was given a second chance by a compassionate rescue. While Gracie has found her forever family, River remains patiently hopeful for his own loving home. He has a warm personality and truly adores children, making him a great addition to a family with kids. River would thrive in a home with another friendly female dog, given careful introductions. However, a cat-free home is ideal for him. River has endured so much and is searching for a family who will provide the love, safety, and stability he deserves.
