This sweet pup is Tovi! He ended up at the shelter on 3/10 because his family was deported, and the person he was staying with temporarily isn't able to care for him long term. It is reported that Tovi is house trained, so that is great news! The volunteers just adore Tovi and describe him as a little shy, but also all the other things a puppy should be: friendly, curious, and playful. Tovi seems to understand some commands in Spanish. Puppies are adorable, but also a lot of work. Please ensure you have the time, patience, and energy to commit to Tovi before adopting. Tovi is 6 months old, and weighs 44 lbs. He will most likely be a medium-large sized dog when fully grown. He is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption.
