About Buckeye
For inquiries contact jean@staf.org. Information and application are at www.staf.org. As buckeyes are known to bring good luck, our Buckeye will bring incredible joy and so much happiness! He was brought to us as a stray out fending for himself, and he is considered amongst our special needs population because he is FIV/FeLV positive (which means his immune system needs extra support). What does this equate to when contemplating providing this deserving boy a forever home? It means that Buckeye will need to share a home with other FeLV positive cats, or he must be a one and only, since he cannot be blended with negative felines to ensure they don't contract the virus. Buckeye is sweet and oh-so-friendly, but feline leukemia is more easily spread via mutual grooming, sharing food/water bowls, and shared bodily fluids (among other felines). As the light of your life, we can say for sure that the reward of providing a wonderful home for this dear boy will bring endless fortune. Because Buckeye is a double positive boy, he will need a loving family committed to regular veterinary care, and close health monitoring (exact direction will be provided by your Adoption Coordinator). While his medical status may require vigilant observation, it will be easy since this lovely boy will engage your watchful eye. Buckeye enjoys happy, cozy naps, playtime, and affection when his attentive caregiving is the goal, and in return, what makes adopting a special-needs cat so extraordinary is the bond that forms. Cats that are given a chance despite the odds become deeply devoted companions, soaking up every bit of love and returning it tenfold. For someone willing to provide comfort, stability, and the care they deserve, the reward is immeasurable. If you believe every cat deserves a chance, this special soul, Buckeye, may be waiting just for you. You’ll know that you changed a life in the most meaningful way possible, and most certainly, you and he will always share all the luck! DOB: 8/2020 Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org. All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations.
