About Plum
Plum is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pit mix with a beautiful short tricolor coat (black, tan, and white) and a medium build at about 42 pounds. She's house-trained, crate-trained for bedtime, and incredibly smart, honestly, she might just be the future valedictorian of obedience school! Plum is very tuned in to her humans and loves learning what you want from her. This sweet girl has a playful, puppy-like energy and thrives when she has outlets like training sessions and playtime. She loves a good bouncy ball (especially tossing it for herself!) and will happily show off her "sit" and "down." One of her cutest quirks is her love of blankets, if you hold one open, she'll burrow right underneath for cozy snuggles. Plum is still working on building confidence and managing her excitement. She can get overstimulated by outside noises and does have separation anxiety, so she would do best in a quieter home with adopters who are patient and willing to continue her training and help her practice calming skills. Because she may bark when left alone, she's not the best fit for homes with shared walls. She would likely do best with humans who are home often and enjoy engaging with their dog through training and play. Plum is a bright, affectionate dog with tons of potential. With the right home willing to guide her and give her the structure she needs, she's sure to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion.
